SASI has been
selected as a SEAPORT-e (enhanced), prime
contractor effective 1 June , 2006. This permits
ID/IQ cost type as well as FFP Delivery Orders.
The period of performance is an initial three
year base contract, followed by a two year
extension and a five year follow on. The entire
term is anticipated at 10 years from date of
award.
Authorized
ordering activities (customers), include ; Naval
Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command,
Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval
Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Systems
Command, Naval Facilities Systems Engineering
Command, Strategic Systems Programs and the
United States Marine Corps.
The SEAPORT
contract includes twenty two functional service
areas within the scope of performance. These
support service areas cover the entire spectrum
from Research and Development, Systems
Engineering , Process Engineering, Modeling,
Simulation/Stimulation analysis , Prototyping,
Pre-production, Model making, System Design
Documentation / Technical Data, Software
Engineering / Development / Programming and
Network Application, Reliability /
Maintainability / Availability services, Human
Factors, Performance, Usability Engineering ,
System Safety Engineering, Configuration
Management, Quality Assurance, Information
Systems Development, Information Assurance,
Information Technology, Ship
Inactivation/Disposal, Interoperability, Test &
Evaluation ,Trials.
Measurement
Facilities, Range / Instrumentation, Acquisition
Logistics, Supply & Provisioning, Training,
In-Service Engineering, Fleet Introduction,
Installation & Checkout, Program Support,
Functional / Administrative / Public Affairs and
Multimedia services.
The Government
estimates that a maximum of $ 5,300,000,000 of
services will be procured per year for support
of these functional areas.
